I am directed by the Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 18th ultimo, transmitting by direction of Secretary Cardwell, for the consideration of this Board, a Copy of a Letter with its enclosures, from the Treasury, respecting a sum of Twenty-six pounds twelve shillings and six pence (£26. 12. 6) paid by the Government of New South Wales to the Owner of the "Schooner 'Rebecca'" for the conveyance from Duke of York's Island, to Sydney of two British and three Foreign Seamen, who had been wrecked in the "Earl of Hardwicke" and inquiring whether the "Earl of Hardwicke" is correctly described as Under Secretary of State Colonial Office
